Pay, Schedule, & Benefits:
- The anticipated starting pay range is $25-27 per hour. This compensation range considers a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experiences, as well as internal equity.
- This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. Work schedule is 40 hours/week, typically during Monday-Friday daytime business hours. Approximately 5% expenses-paid domestic travel is required.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist with daily HCM system (Paycor) operations. Provide Level 1 support and troubleshooting to users, escalating to HR Operations Supervisor as appropriate. As directed, submit cases to HCM support team and follow through to resolution. Stay abreast of system feature updates. Complete trainings, attend webinars, and review guides to become a system power user.
- Administer internal employee job change and rehire processes. Follow checklists and procedures. Maintain accurate records in the HCM system, personnel folders, payroll documentation, etc. Consistently evaluate incoming workload, prioritize tasks, and allocate work time to ensure deadlines are met. Back up HR Assistant on new hire and termination processes.
- Assist with biweekly payroll processing and auditing: audit changes, process garnishments, execute manual updates, etc.
- Assist with the research, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal HR and cross-departmental processes, tools, and communications, as well as HR’s SharePoint site.
- Create custom reports in HCM system as requested. Carefully analyze report set-up and data to ensure accurate reporting.
- Promptly review state unemployment correspondence and process as necessary. Maintain unemployment employer accounts.
- Anticipate employee information needs. Communicate tactfully, safeguard confidentiality, and promote healthy employee culture through positive, professional interactions.
- Perform HR Assistant duties when needed, leading core transactional HR processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
- Commitment to support and promote FMSC’s Christian mission and goals.
- Minimum of associate’s degree and 2 years of human resources experience required. In lieu of degree, equivalent work experience considered.
- Advanced competencies with Microsoft Office required. Experience with HCM systems and reporting required. Experience with SharePoint preferred. Able to easily learn new technology.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with strong number and systems sense. Able to identify errors and inefficiencies, and collaborate on process improvements.
- Able to execute tasks with a high degree of detail, accuracy, and follow-up.
- Able to effectively balance high-level thinking with detailed execution, and anticipate downstream impact.
- Able to prioritize, be organized, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to use discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and independence. Able to use discretion and safeguard confidential information.
Your Team:
- This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of remote and onsite work. On-site work would be in Coon Rapids, MN (weekly on Wednesdays and occasional other days as needed).
- Reports to HR Operations Supervisor.
